Cranston, RI (August 14, 2026) – After more than a decade managing logistics and sample receiving in a fast-paced lab environment, our new team member, John Choquette, is stepping into a fresh opportunity with Gannon & Scott in a Security and Logistics role.
Adaptability, organization, and a strong work ethic have been consistent themes throughout John's career. Bringing a strong background in logistics and operations, John is already finding connections between his previous experience and his new role at Gannon & Scott. Although John is new to the precious metal refining industry, he expressed, "Logistics and security seem to dovetail each other well." He is also looking forward to assisting with the hazardous-waste-bearing precious-metals operations and mentioned that he has always been good at multitasking and adapting quickly. John hopes to apply these skills to support the team effectively.
In reflecting on his decision to join the company, he described it as "A joy to land somewhere stable, with long-standing growth and a bright future." John views his new colleagues as "A great group of people, led by great people who care." John is very excited to settle in.
Looking ahead, he explained that in his past roles, he has always prided himself on learning quickly to advance and take on new roles. He hopes to continue his growth here, adding, "I come into work ready to work."

John has an academic background that includes time at CCRI pursuing a physical therapy assistant certification, which reflects his strong interest in sports and athletics. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness and weight training, MotoGP racing, Bruins Hockey, and spending time by the ocean. His favorite entertainment includes the movie "Rocky," the series "Peaky Blinders," the "Witcher" book series, and the band Pantera.
When it comes to teamwork, John emphasizes that he works well in collaborative settings but also performs strongly independently. He believes that identifying strengths and weaknesses, as well as bringing together folks with complementary skills, are the two key foundations to building a successful team. John encouraged anyone who needs anything to reach out, as he is ready and happy to help.
