Cranston, RI (April 27, 2026) – With a focus on building strong, lasting relationships with customers throughout the eastern U.S., Billy Welshoff joins Gannon & Scott as an Account Executive.
Billy brings over a decade of sales experience across a wide range of industries. He graduated from Bridgewater State University with a major in General Management and a minor in Accounting/Finance. His career spans from supplying custodial supplies across several market segments to providing specialized surface preparation tools for the Navy, defense contractors, shipyards, bridge contractors, and abatement specialists. That hands-on experience in real-world environments has shaped his approach to connecting with people. "I'm able to find common ground with everyone I meet and form long-lasting relationships built on trust and reliability. I love challenges, and I am constantly adapting my skills to meet each customer's specific needs," Billy shared!
What drew Billy to refining? The demand. "It's an exciting time to be in precious metals," he said. What stood out most to Billy during the hiring process was not just the role. "What attracted me the most was how Gannon & Scott has been in business for over 100 years. I have tremendous appreciation for their longevity. Their refining process is thorough and precise as well. I'm excited to join such a prestigious organization," Billy said. "I'm also very excited to work with the team at Gannon & Scott. I enjoyed every conversation I had."

Now, as one of the new Regional Account Executives, Billy is eager to learn about the ins and outs of the refining process and industry so he can better serve customers and set himself up for a successful year. "Once I have the knowledge, I'm confident the results will follow," Billy added. "I will evolve with the industry, and I look forward to helping every customer with their specific needs." Long term, Billy's goal is straightforward: boost company productivity and hit his yearly goals. "I will contribute to the company's mission/vision by structuring each sales call based solely on the needs of the customer," remarked Billy. "I look forward to helping every customer with their specific needs."
Outside of work, Billy keeps busy with his family. He and his wife were married in 2021 in Rhode Island, and they now have two boys and a rescue dog. If it ever feels like you've seen Billy in two places at once, you're not imagining it; he has a twin brother (and a younger sister). Other than that, he loves spending time with his family, playing in the yard, landscaping, cooking, going to concerts (he's seen Phish more than 30 times), and watching the LA Rams on Sundays.
