Cranston, RI (February 3, 2026) – Gannon & Scott proudly welcomes Chris Cummings, CJ, as Senior Accountant!

With a well-rounded finance background, CJ will oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting, and work with leadership to inform good business decisions that will benefit the entire company.

CJ graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting. Following an MBA, CJ’s career began at IREX, managing a full-cycle accounts payable operation. He later joined Johnson Lambert LLP as a Senior Audit Associate, analyzing client financial data and executing thorough audit procedures to ensure financial statements were accurate and reliable. There, he worked with clients in the nonprofit, insurance, and employee benefit plan sectors. "I believe my previous role as a financial statement auditor helps give me an outside perspective and an understanding of the whole accounting process," CJ adds.

Now, CJ is looking forward to being able to focus on one company and taking a deep dive into the precious metals industry. Additionally, CJ is looking forward to the upcoming acquisition by Metalor Technologies USA, which marks a significant milestone in Gannon & Scott’s history. "With Gannon & Scott joining Metalor Technologies USA, it is an exciting time to join the organization," CJ explained when discussing his new role. "Even though I will be a new member of the team, we will all be learning new systems and approaches.  It is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of a historic change.”

"We’re excited to welcome CJ, as Senior Accountant.  He has a great approach to teamwork, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in continuous learning, which aligns perfectly with the goals of the company. He's a strong addition to the finance department and has a solid foundation in accounting. We look forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on Gannon & Scott."

-Michelle Cullion, Senior VP of Administration

Flexibility and strategy are two ways CJ approaches collaboration. "I try to approach it with a plan to divide the work in the most efficient manner, while being flexible and making changes on the fly to ensure that goals are met on time,” CJ explains.

A little more about CJ! During his summers in college, he played baseball in Europe! He is very into sports and working out. In fact, even though he is no longer playing baseball, he stays involved in the sport by being an umpire for high school and middle school baseball for the state of Rhode Island.

Ready to begin this next chapter in the precious metals refining industry, CJ values the opportunity to join a strong team and shares insights on what makes a team truly successful. " The most important key to building a successful team is knowing that your other team members are going to be there for you. When times are stressful, it's always helpful to know there's someone to help out. Also being able to know when someone else has a lot on their plate, being able to lend a hand and help them out." This reflects the strong collective effort we value at Gannon & Scott.

Please join us in welcoming CJ onboard!
