Cranston, RI (May 1, 2025) – Cindy Bishop has stepped into the role of Smelter Relations Supervisor, bringing over two decades of experience in the precious metal refining industry and a strong commitment to Gannon & Scott.
After working for two other refiners, Cindy found her place at Gannon & Scott and never looked back. She reflects, "It feels like I've been here my entire career, and that's a good thing!" She highlights her proudest moments here: "I am most proud of keeping track of hundreds of lots of material at various refiners and ensuring Gannon & Scott obtains the most accurate returns. I'm also proud of being able to get shipments out on a timely basis and doing this job for 26 years."
Over the years, Cindy has built an incredible reputation for managing her relationships with contacts at outside refiners and shipping and logistics providers. "Many contacts have been with their companies for many years as well, and developing those relationships has been both personally rewarding and beneficial to Gannon & Scott," Cindy shares.
Michelle Cullion, Senior Vice President of Administration, shared a few words about Cindy.
"I’ve known Cindy for my entire career, long before joining Gannon & Scott. Cindy excels in her field and has been a tremendous mentor, colleague and friend since I joined Gannon & Scott seven years ago. I’m excited for her to take on this new role and to help grow the Smelter Relations department at Gannon & Scott. Her commitment to passing on the breadth and depth of her knowledge about our industry will benefit Gannon & Scott for generations to come “
Cindy looks forward to mentoring the next generation in her new role, starting with new team member Jackie DeRosa, Smelter Relations Coordinator. Before she retires, Cindy hopes to pass on her knowledge to ensure the continued success of the smelter relations operations at Gannon & Scott.
